Show Control & Implementation

Perfect timing for audio, effects, and story moments

We design and implement show control so music, sound effects, lighting and show moments land exactly when they should, reliably, every cycle.

In-house engineering + music = one integrated team

What is show control?

Show control (simple): the system that triggers and times show elements (like audio, lights, effects) based on cues, sensors, or ride logic.

Perfect for

  • Dark rides & coasters (on-ride audio + dynamic SFX)
  • Walkthroughs / themed areas (multi-zone audio, scene timing)
  • Preshows (timed sequences, repeatable show moments)
  • Rethemes + upgrades (making existing systems feel new)

"... If your attraction has “moments”, show control makes them hit...."

What this solves

  • Timing you can trust
    • No drifting, no “almost synced”, the cue happens when it should.
  • Audio that adapts to the ride
    • Dynamic sound effects, station announcements, and variations that keep the experience fresh.
  • Less vendor chaos
    • One team thinking about story + music + technical integration.

What we can control

Depending on your setup, we can synchronize:

  • Multi-zone music and sound effects (different speakers, different moments)
  • Lighting and show effects (fog, air, water, props, where applicable)
  • Video and display moments (when relevant)
  • Interactive triggers (sensors, buttons, control inputs)
  • Animatronics

Final scope depends on your existing ride control system and desired moments.

How it works

Trigger (sensor/ride logic) Show Control Audio / effects Guest moment

We map your story beats to technical cues, then program and test until timing feels effortless.

Typical deliverables

  • Cue list / timeline ("what happens when")
  • Audio routing plan (zones, speakers, levels, versions)
  • Control logic / show sequences (programmed and tested)
  • Triggers & inputs mapping (sensors, buttons, station logic)
  • Voice processing (radio/PA, creature FX, environmental filtering)
  • Operator-friendly controls (dashboard/touch panel or physical controls)
  • Commissioning support (on-site or remote, depending on project)

How the project runs

  • Technical intake (week 1)
    • We gather ride timing, existing control system details, zone plan, and desired moments.
  • Cue map (week 1-2)
    • We translate story beats into a clear list of cues and triggers.
  • Prototype + tests (week 2-6)
    • We implement the first working sequence and test timing in the real environment.
  • Polish + variations (week 4-10)
    • Fine-tuning, levels, transitions, and optional random variations.
  • Commissioning + handover (week 8-12)
    • Final checks, documentation, and operator-ready controls.

FAQ

Can you work with our existing ride control system?

Often yes, SCX can run standalone or integrate as a “slave” to an existing ride control system.

Do you only do audio, or also other effects?

Depending on the setup, show control can handle audio, lighting, effects, video, and more.

Can you do multi-zone audio (different areas, different speakers)?

Yes! Multi-zone music and sound effects are a core use case.

Do you offer support after launch?

Remote support is possible via EVRST Engineering’s platform setup (project-dependent).

Let’s make your moments land

Send us your ride timing (or a rough timeline), a zone/speaker plan, and the moments you want to hit. We’ll propose the best approach for reliable show timing.
